“Currently I enjoy oil, acrylic, water colour and silk painting, in addition to printmaking.
After living in New Zealand for several years, I moved to Carnarvon WA with my Australian husband in 1986, and to Tasmania in 1994.
In my youth I wanted to become either a cartoonist or a kimono designer, but unfortunately in Japan a more serious study topic was always considered more important than spending hours paintings. I gave up my endeavour to become an artist and chose to be more academic. However, now in my middle age I have really found my goal to become a great artist. I want to challenge my limits.”
